TWS has launched three websites - Marines.Togetherweserved.com (MTWS), established in November 2003 and now with 150,000 Members; Navy.Togetherweserved.com (NTWS), established in October, 2006 and with 320,000 Members; AirForce.Togetherweserved.com (AFTWS), established in December, 2007 and with nearly 50,000 Members – all of which are under the umbrella of Togetherweserved Inc (TWS Inc). TWS Inc. is incorporated in the State of California, has its formal address in Chatsworth, California and files its taxes in California. All TWS websites are hosted on TWS’s own servers housed in the Telco Building at 1 Wilshire Boulevard in Los Angeles. The domain name Togetherweserved.com was privately registered with Register.com in 2003. It is privately registered to prevent the TWS e-mail addresses, contained in the WHOIS, being commandeered by spam engines. Register.com are headquartered in Nova Scotia and the Togetherweserved.com domain name resolves to that geographical location. TWS has no connection with Germany or any country outside of the United States. TWS has been written up in USMC PAO Articles and in the Stars and Stripes. The following article on our Navy site was published in the Pacific Stars and Stripes in June, 2007: navy.togetherweserved.com/usn/download/Stars&StripesNTWSArticle.pdf The president of TWS Inc. is also president of Militel Calling Services (www.militel.com ), a leading telecommunications company that has supplied international Calling Services to the US Military, stationed around the world, since 1994. Militel has been a regular advertiser in the Stars and Stripes for the past 14 years and currently advertises daily in their Middle East edition. This information is clearly displayed in the "About Us" section of the Home Page on AFTWS. AFTWS is first and foremost a unique place to allow former serving and current serving Members of the US Air Force reconnect with others with whom they served and share a common camaraderie with other Air Force personnel. It requires certain defined service information to be posted on a Members profile to allow other Members to effectively search for their comrades. In addition AFTWS performs an important heritage role by neatly performing the function of an online scrapbook so that an Airman's service will never be forgotten in a shoebox in an attic somewhere. This has obvious benefits for close Family, Friends and future generations to look back on. AFTWS is also a place for all Airmen, including those who have passed on, and a Remembrance Profile facility has been incorporated in the site to ensure that no Airman may be forgotten. AFTWS is administered by retired or former Air Force and other service personnel who are very familiar with the TWS operation and what it stands for. TWS upholds its mission of providing a secure and enjoyable place for Servicemen and Women to tell their Service Story for the benefit of fellow Airmen and close Family. The majority of AFTWS Members are invited by existing Members thus maximizing the number of genuine Air Force personnel on board. The AFTWS website has appointees in the form of the AFTWS Advisory Group which routinely reviews Members profiles for being representative of a reasonable service history. The sites are also self policing via the Dispute and Verification mechanisms available on all Profiles which all Members can use to question or affirm any Member Profile. TWS takes it's Privacy Policy and the security of its websites very seriously. It is fully aware that servicemen and women, particularly those on active duty, use the same reasonable discretion when posting information on their Profile Page as they would in any other environment particularly as so much private information is now publicly available due to the Freedom of Information Act. If a Member posts any information which may be considered by the other Members as best locked away, TWS encourages its Members to use their influence on the Member or alert Admin. TWS appreciates there is a delicate balance in maximizing the Members enjoyment of the site and the dullness of ultimate security lockdown. It's recommendations are for Members to post only what they are comfortable with and "Privacy Protect" any information they wish to share only with those on their accredited "Buddies" list. Finally, TWS realizes it is not perfect in every way and it openly welcomes Members suggestions to help improve the website. What TWS is especially proud of is that it has brought considerable enjoyment and satisfaction to hundreds of thousands of Service personnel, many of whom have written to say they are very grateful for the opportunity to reconnect with those they served and retain a strong bond with the service they devoted many years to.
